A freelancer with over 15 years of professional experience, Ben founded HomeWorkingClub in 2017 to share his knowledge and advice, and to help people realise their home working dreams.

Ben’s clients range from small startups to big names. He has been quoted on home working matters by many global media outlets, including the Huffington Post, USA Today and Business Insider.

Career Highlights: Setting up Wi-Fi for celebs and press at Giorgio Armani’s One Night Only event at London’s Earls Court; Selling over 4000 copies of his self-published book about life in Portugal.

Random Fact: Ben was once a precocious child TV extra, and was in both ‘Allo ‘Allo and You Rang M’Lord.


Alex Ricketts

Podcast Host, Writer, Strategic Support


An experienced public speaker and podcaster, Alex has worked in the marketing and media industry for most of this century.

He held a senior marketing role with Royal Mail, before becoming a marketing consultant. He also founded the crowdfunding events business “Crowdfinders.”

Career Highlight: Alex has recently worked as Head of Membership for The Marketing Society.

Random Fact: In 2013 Alex created “Your Best Man”, a consultancy helping people with all manner of speeches from weddings to business.

A freelancer since 2010, Karen Fleming is a bookworm who loves helping others. She has lived and worked in the UK, USA, and Latin America.

Her primary focus is on written communication, offering writing, translation, education, and administration services.

Career Highlights: Karen’s attention to detail and customer orientation has won her many high profile clients. It also garnered her a Notice of Commendation from the City of Los Angeles

Random Fact: Karen once uncovered a mummy whilst digging on a beach as a child.

Amy has been a Social Media Assistant and Writer for 8 years and also works for a UK based charity.

She specialises in working with the third sector, including policy, development and training.

Amy lives with her young family in the East of England.

Career Highlights: Writing key policies and guidelines for a new charity, supporting them to establish, operate and expand successfully.

Random Fact: Amy volunteered at the London 2012 Olympic Games, highlights included helping a gold medalist escape from autograph hunters and assisting with a medal ceremony.

Louise has been working as a freelance writer, PR professional and project manager since 2013.

Her work spans a wide range of sectors, with property, languages and the charity sector being areas of particular interest.

When she’s not working, you’ll usually find her playing with her two young children.

Career Highlights: Supporting project manager for a 1,000-delegate international conference for people with disabilities.

Random Fact: Louise holds qualifications in five languages and also has a fair grasp of Portuguese.
