Nowadays it seems that every single day is national something day! Some of these events are truly worthy. For example, I’m writing this on World Mental Health Day, a day commemorating a subject that needs as much exposure as possible.  However, some of these occasions are rather less convincing. With that in mind, allow me to present “National Lost Sock Day” (May 9th) and “National Spicy Guacamole Day” (November 14th). 🙂 National Flex Day National Flex Day, which is on Tuesday, October 15th this year, is one of the events that fits into my “worthy” column. If I wasn’t passionate about remote…

I find it rather scary to think that we’re already well past the half-way point of 2019. It doesn’t feel like that long since I was putting up the Christmas decorations! It’s been an interesting and challenging year, and one that’s taught me that however long you’ve been freelancing, there are still big lessons to learn and lots of ways to improve and refine what you do. With that in mind, I thought it would be fun to put together a little list of the realisations I’ve had so far this year. In truth, several of them could fit into…

I’m a big fan of Tailwind, and a paying subscriber. I originally purchased Tailwind to manage posts on Pinterest, and make use of Tailwind Tribes. I also like that Tailwind for Instagram lets me schedule posts in advance – complete with effective hashtags – thanks to its hashtag finder. I should probably admit, at this stage, that my personal efforts to commit to using Instagram seem to come in fits and starts – but that’s another story, and nothing to do with Tailwind! Anyway, I recently found out that there are some new features in Tailwind for Instagram that will…

When I started HomeWorkingClub in 2017, I knew my idea wasn’t especially original. After all, there are already thousands of websites about freelancing, home working and making money online. I did, however, have a clear vision. I wanted to make a home working website that was BETTER. Most of all, I wanted to make one that was HONEST. To be clear, I’m not criticising every other site in this industry – but I am criticising a lot of them. The home working world is a minefield of scams, hidden agendas and unrealistic promises. The victims are the people who are…
